Since my spouse is an atheist, I wanted to educate the kids in basic value systems that would have an impact on their life. Due to my job as a pilot, it's not possible to attend Church every week or enroll the kids as there wouldn't be anybody to take them to church in my absence. This idea of OGOSS is novel and at the same time a godsend for fathers like me. The standard of teaching was exceptional and the kids are fairly on the way to a good value system. It is a great initiative by Orthodox Church to have an online platform for Sunday school studies. The syllabus is designed in such a way to enhance children faith.
We love the way classes are organized and executed.Exams & Annual competitions made the kids more enthusiastic .We understand it is a very big task to run this global initative as its spread many countries all over the world. The pedagogy and the accessibility of the Sunday school is remarkable. The teachers, the materials and the instruction are of highest quality. My son Isaac enjoys the school because of the teacher's guidance and the engagement to the students. He comprehends the biblical stories and is inquisitive about it. We as parents, feel that the children's love towards our triune God, the traditional christian prayers of our church and to foster the Orthodox Christian values is imperative even if you live far away from your native Orthodox community. We were in Qatar until 2021 and Ellen could not attend Sunday school due to Covid and moving to UK. We, parents were worried for not attending our kids to Sunday school.Ellen was enthusiastic to learn Sunday school and couldn't go UK regularly due to the long distance of church and parents job.Luckily she got a chance to join online Sunday school classes and it helped her to gain her spiritual knowledge . " Over the last year, being part of OGOSS (Orthodox Global Online Sunday School) has been truly eye-opening. As a senior student at 50, I reconnected with my Orthodox roots, compensating for missed traditional Sunday school due to my education in a Malankara Catholic boarding school. OGOSS became a place to explore our church's rich history, understanding the challenges faced by church leaders.
